Socrates idea of leaving prison is connected to harming the people of Athens because by being in the prison in the first place, Socrates is considered a bad person/ someone that's harmed the community. By leaving the prison, he would be intruding in the " contract " the people of Athens have signed. The so called contract is being violated because by doing this, Socrates is putting the poele of Athens in danger and they gave up some rights/ have to follow rules in return of protection fro the city of Athens.
Socrates would rather spend is life in jail/die than harm others.
