Socrates also disagreed with Mr. Wille, saying that the majority is "worthless."
Do you agree with Socrates? Or with Mr. Wille?
Should majority rule?
If not, than who or what will rule?
Does majority actually decide one's reputation? How? If not, who does?
And if majority is completely worthless, as Socrates says, does it account for anything at all?

i believe in certain cases the majority can be entirely worthless. If they vote for something that is not helpful in any scenario, then their vote and opinion is lost, and nothing is gained.
However, it is just as likely that the majority can right a situation that the minority would only hurt. In that case, the Majority's case and action(s) are not worthless.

In this case, I concur with Mr. Wille, the majority is very useful and should rule. In a population of many people, there are bound to be disagreements about what should be done within that population. This is where people in the population vote for what they want and the option with the most votes is implemented. While it may not account for everybody's opinion, it comes close to it. In terms of reputation, anybody can decide it. Reputation (what somebody /something is known for) can be determined by anyone. But what is usually seen is the reputation of that thing made by the majority. This is because: 1) it is the opinion of more than half of the population and 2) any other viewpoints by minority groups are sometimes too diverse and become viewed as radical or eccentric. So majority isn't worthless. It isn't divine intervention either, but it works.
I believe that majority is more useful in some cases and then there are some cases where the majority is just worthless. In the cases where majority should not rule, what should rule is how reasonable the situations/options are. They should not be voted by the wise as in one person whom is truly understood as wise which brings us back to how to determine whether someone is wise or clever.
Majority does not decide one's reputation and what decides your reputation is how you believe you have been and judge your actions based on the opinions of you truly close friends, families etc.
