Since we had a C-day on Friday, we will have to skip in-class discussions of "how philosopher kings come to be." I highly recommend that you take the time to read Book VI of the Republic. It talks about the education required for philosopher kings (i.e. YOU) as well as a description of WHY the world needs philosophers as leaders.
For tomorrow, please make sure that you read the Sun Analogy (507b - 509d).
